Hurricane Ian Relief

Hurricane Ian Relief

Amy Grissom, CEO of Florida Agencies Serving the Blind sent this critical request to friends, family, and friends of family.

Hurricane Ian brought a lot of devastation to Sarasota and Lee Counties. Now that Hurricane Ian has left, the clean-up time is upon us. The blind, visually impaired, deaf-blind and disabled communities need our help. So, LETS ALL UNITE TOGETHER TO HELP OUR MOST VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES.

Florida Agencies Serving the Blind and its affiliate agencies, in collaboration with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Lions Club of Monticello, Lions Club of Tallahassee, Vision Serve Alliance, American Foundation for the Blind, CleanLogic, SafeTouch Tallahassee and many other organizations, will be collecting donations specifically for the blind, visually impaired, deaf-blind and disabled community of Sarasota and Lee Counties.

Beginning Monday October 10, 2022, through Friday, October 21, 2022, FASB will be taking specific donations for those who need it the most. We will re-evaluate the needs of the area with the Lighthouse of Southwest Florida and Vision Loss Education Center and update this notice.
