ACVREP (Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals) believes that all people with vision impairment should receive services from highly qualified vision professionals. Through certification of professionals worldwide, ACVREP establishes high standards of service delivery to people with vision impairment that facilitate independent living, employment, and full inclusion in community life. Current certifications are Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist “COMS”, Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist “CVRT”, Certified Low Vision Therapist “CLVT” and Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist “CATIS”. Under development are Canadian Adult Deafblind Intervenor and Audio Describer certifications. ACVREP Certified Professionals = High Standards, Ethical Service, Commitment to Consumers, Stronger Program Outcomes.
