Wendy Hymes – Director of Membership & Conferences
Wendy joined VisionServe Alliance’s team in 2017. A Certified Association Executive with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit, arts administration, and education sectors, she has strong skills as an educator and in community relations, events management, board development, donor cultivation, social media marketing, publicity, and grant writing. Wendy held previous positions as the Director of the Fowler Performing Arts Center at A-State in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she directed all activities at the leading cultural venue in the northeast Arkansas region, and as Director of Development for the Intercultural Music Initiative in St. Louis, Missouri, where she managed their annual fundraising campaign and season concerts. At VisionServe Alliance, Wendy oversees the member benefits programs including supervising the Small Org Affinity Group as well as the planning and logistics for VisionServe Alliance’s annual conferences. She has BA, MM and DMA degrees in music performance, music theory and arts administration from Principia College, Indiana University and Louisiana State University. Born in Hollywood, CA, and raised in small town West Virginia, Wendy claims her hometown as St. Louis, Missouri where she lives with her husband, Fred and two sons.
When she is not working, she enjoys performing music, traveling to exciting destinations around the world, cooking, and cheering her sons on at their soccer, basketball and track and field games.
