Create an Action Agenda to Promote and Enhance Services and Opportunities for Individuals Who are BVI VSAELC2020

Do you have the funding and the program flexibility you need to serve your consumers? Likely the answer is no! Every VSA member has a role to play in advocacy and holds a stake in the outcome of government policies. We know that more funding and support is needed for services and programs designed to provide services to support employment, independent living, and other needs of those we serve. Thus, advocacy is needed more than ever. VSA members are powerful advocates, especially when we are organized and focused. We have gathered experts to share expectations and goals for federal government policy action in 2021. We will discuss expectations for government spending, legislative action on key programs and priorities of executive agency officials. This panel will take place the day after an extraordinarily important election and we may not know who the President will be or the outcome of key Congressional elections. Nevertheless, we need to prepare to be forceful advocates in 2021 to collectively amplify the voice of individuals we serve.
