While it is always important to find ways to engage prospective clients, those in the application process and keep graduates active and involved, the pandemic in the last year has provided us the opportunity to adapt, re-evaluate and broaden strategies for engagement with these audiences. Additionally, the pandemic has provided an opportunity to explore options for family and friends of clients and other stakeholders in the continuum of Leader Dog programs and services. The successes of re-engaging audiences during this difficult time with a new take on virtual learning will be shared. Learn about results from a client poll that opened our eyes to the interaction, connection and learning opportunities desired by this population. A look at the cross-functional approach to the challenge of creating new opportunities. The Leader Dogs for the Blind team will share the development of virtual programs and serving clients in a technology-driven way. Additionally, concepts of live meetings and learning as you go opportunities will be compared. A focus on programs specifically developed for teens and those newly into adulthood will be shared in detail.
