VisionServe Alliance Honors Kevin Lynch with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award – Providing Working Solutions and a Way Forward
VisionServe Alliance is thrilled to honor Kevin Lynch for his exceptional leadership in the BVI field, and for distinguishing himself through his vision, tenacity, and commitment to improving the lives of the people with blindness and low vision.
Mr. Lynch is the retiring President and CEO of National Industries for the Blind (NIB) where he has served in several leadership roles, working with NIB’s associated nonprofit agencies to expand opportunities for meaningful employment and economic independence for people who are blind. Previously, he was Executive Director at Georgia Industries for the Blind, and Director of Manufacturing for the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Greater Rochester. Mr. Lynch serves on the board of the New York State Preferred Source Program for People Who Are Blind, is a former member of the Alexandria/Arlington Regional Workforce Council and has served on the Alexandria Commission on Persons with Disabilities.“
Throughout his forty-year career, Kevin has dramatically improved the career opportunities and economic stability of countless people who are blind or have low vision,” said Lee Nasehi, President, and CEO of VisionServe Alliance. “I am especially grateful for his assistance in launching and his ongoing support of the social entrepreneur business lines at Lighthouse Central Florida and Lighthouse Works. His legacy is one to which we all aspire. We extend our deepest gratitude for Kevin Lynch’s insightful leadership and all he continues to do for people with blindness and low vision.”
