VisionServe Alliance’s 2024 Executive Leadership Conference will be held April 14 – 17, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri.
The theme for the 2024 Executive Leadership Conference is “Focused on the Future.” The 2024 ELC is open to all leaders in the blindness and vision impairment field and their staff. The event will feature a keynote and workshop on Networking Leadership by Jane Wei-Skillern and discussions using the Open Space Technology meeting format which will allow everyone the ability to contribute to the content of our agenda. Of course, there will be plenty of time for networking, visiting with our Exhibitors and exploring all the best that Kansas City has to offer.
The venue is the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza, located just steps away from Country Club Plaza, the nation’s first suburban shopping district designed to accommodate cars and a beautiful pedestrian area and architectural and cultural treasure a few miles south of downtown. Hotel phone is (816) 756-1500. A booking link to reserve rooms at our group rate of $189/night will be posted on our conference page later this fall. Hotel address: 401 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64112
Save the date to attend the 2024 ELC and be a part of the discussion of our field’s future. Check back on this page for the registration link to be posted in early December. We look forward to seeing you in Kansas City next April!

“Each time I attend, I gain knowledge and insight from leaders in our field, which ultimately will allow Xavier Society to better serve our patrons. As important, this collective of organizations is working as one, to educate the many stakeholders in our field, and influence policy and legislation for the benefit of blind and visually impaired people in the U.S. and Canada. It is always an honor to represent Xavier Society and our patrons at this event, and to be a member of this organization.”
Malachy Fallon, Executive Director Xavier Society for the Blind
“I am a strong believer in the value of partnerships and collaborations. Attending the VSA conferences has been a great way to find partners and collaborators, learn new information to be a better administrator and steal good ideas from colleagues around the country. Bring along your executive team for even greater impact!”
Nancy D. Miller, Executive Director/CEO VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired
“I appreciated attending conference sessions on leadership development, including practical applications such as creating a culture that fosters innovation; a session on the importance of research to gather data on those we serve to help demonstrate where we can have impact; and tips for effective advocacy and influencing public policy. The networking opportunities helped me connect with CEOs new to the field and I brought ideas and resources back to my organization that will help propel us forward.”
George Abbott, President and CEO The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.
