Inspiration Foundation Announces 2024 Assistive Technology Grant Recipients
Inspiration Foundation was grateful to partner again this year with VisionServe Alliance for the foundation’s 2024 Assistive Technology Grants. The grant recipients were announced by Isaac Shapiro, co-founder of Cleanlogic and the Inspiration Foundation, last month at VisionServe Alliance’s Focused on the Future 2024 Leadership Conference in Kansas City, MO.
The Inspiration Foundation was founded in 2006 by Isaac Shapiro and his mom, Bea, who lost her sight at the age of seven. Isaac and Bea created the foundation to continue her work as an advocate to train blind and visually impaired individuals to use adaptive technology to gain meaningful employment, in hopes to make a measurable impact in our communities and lower the staggering 70% unemployment rate.
At the conference, Inspiration Foundation was honored to announce that they were able to award $35,000 in grants this year, which had doubled the previous year’s grants. “Our goal is to continue to increase the value of the grants to make a bigger impact on funding adaptive technology programs,” said Isaac Shapiro.
