FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Building Business, Driving Innovation

VisionServe Alliance is honored to recognize Ryan Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Alphapointe, for his leadership role in cultivating opportunities and independence for working adults with vision loss.

The Roxann Mayros Organizational Champion Award recognizes a member of senior management whose cultivation of structure, systems, and best practices advances the efforts of an organization distinguishing itself in the field of blindness and low vision.

In Ryan Williams’ ten years at Alphapointe, he has advanced the mission of the century-old Kansas City vision rehabilitation organization to empower people with vision loss to achieve their goals and aspirations by dramatically increasing revenue and expanding product lines.

“Alphapointe is one of the largest employers of people living with blindness and low vision in the US, and Ryan’s leadership, innovation, and dedication have been instrumental in creating new jobs for people who are blind and visually impaired,” said Lee Nasehi, President and CEO of VisionServe Alliance. “The launch of Alphapointe’s new Tactical Medical Division alone has earned eight patents, generated almost $28 million in sales, and produced more than one million devices that serve both our military and first responders.”

We extend our deepest gratitude to Ryan Williams for his exemplary leadership and life-changing efforts on behalf of our field and the people we are proud to serve.

The Roxann Mayros Organizational Champion Awards will be commemorated during the lunch on May 28, 2026, at the Envision and VisionServe Alliance 2026 Conference in Columbus, OH.
