Older Individuals who are Blind – Technical Assistance Center

The Independent Living Services Older Individuals who are Blind Technical Assistance Center is a part of the National Research & Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision (NRTC) at Mississippi State University, focused on agencies serving older individuals who are blind (OIB). This grant is funded by the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) under the U.S. Department of Education. The OIB-TAC team provides a variety of training and technical assistance activities to state OIB programs, monthly webinars, free continuing education courses, and conference presentations on issues relevant to serve OIB.

OIB Scholarship

The NRTC & OIB-TAC is partnering with VisionServe Alliance to provide scholarships to state and private agencies that serve older individuals who are blind to attend the virtual Executive Leadership ConferenceThe deadline to apply is Wed, Oct 21.

Who should apply for the OIB scholarship?

  • Private Agency Executive Director with an OIB Contract
  • Private Agency Program Manager with an OIB Contract
  • State Agency OIB Program Managers
  • State Agency for the Blind Director
  • Other leaders that have programs for older individuals who are blind

Open to organizations with operating budgets of 1 million or less.
